This famous animated story directed by Hayao Miyazaki tells the story of high school student Satsuke and her younger sister Mei, who settle in an old country house with their father and wait for their mother to recover from an illness in the district hospital. While exploring their new home, the sisters encounter and befriend playful spirits in their home and the nearby forest, most notably a large, lovable creature known as Totoro.
