This cast does what they can, but the material is so incredibly stupid.
And the ending leaves absolutely nothing to be desired
The brief introduction to the plot is intriguing, but it has the stupid execution of a CBS crime show.I watched this movie for the cast, the moral dilemma, and the mystery of the premise, but the trailer had more actual plot clarity than the movie itself. To enjoy this movie, you have to gaze lovingly at Nicolas Hoult’s beautiful face and let Toni Collette’s unfailingly strong performance distract you from the fact that the writers assume no one understands how courts or trials work.
