Sonic, Knuckles, and Tails reunite to face a powerful new adversary, Shadow, a mysterious villain with powers unlike any they’ve ever faced before. The creators of the previous films cited playing both Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (2001) and Shadow the Hedgehog (2005) as their inspiration.
