The story of three young girls trying to stick together when they get trapped in a sea cave full of crashing waves, hundreds of sea lions, and monstrous elephant seals. Featured at the 9th Annual San Diego Film Awards (2023). I thought it was a great movie, but it’s important to know that it was fundamentally written by kids, for kids. If you’re an adult who loves kids, you’ll love this too. It reminded me of when my daughter was that age. The people who said this movie was awful probably have very little imagination and enjoy watching the same old garbage that Hollywood puts out year after year. They’re also probably overprotective parents who rush to the hospital at the first sign of a runny nose or a skinned knee. To suggest that these kids were in any real danger because something you see IN THE MOVIE looked dangerous is ridiculous. The whole point was to make it look dangerous…it’s a movie.
